/// Saleh was subject to “automatic deportation” under border laws, but he appealed against deportation. In 2011, an immigration tribunal decided it would breach the European Convention of Human Rights to deport him, as he would face persecution if he returned to Sudan. ///

Is it not time that anyone who arrives illegally into this country, is automatically classed as a criminal and sent straight back from whence they came?

No appeal no legal aid, just get rid, we don't want garbage such as this polluting our country, all at a cost of £350,000 to the British taxpayer.

Thank you Baz, I have only just noticed that I failed to provide a link to this story, perhaps that ids why some are taking rather sympathetic view on this matter?

And yes before anyone asks I also got this story from the Telegraph, and not as I am sure some of you suspected from the Daily Mail.
@grumpydrawers

I never get offended...you should try and do the same..or change your nik

or are you of the opinion i have offended somebody else and its just that..offensive to you
but as you are well aware AOG theres plenty on here that will defend the indefensible

i imagine it makes them feel better about themselves more than anything else....
Yes, baz, but that is compensated on here by AOG and others questioning or denying the utterly defensible !

Yes but the problem being, who decides what is utterly defensible, or is no one allowed to question those who have made their own personal decisions?
AOG, utterly defensible and indefensible are, naturally, to some degree a matter of personal judgment. Some cases are so patently one or the other that nobody other than a "moral imbecile" , to borrow Lord Justice Lawton's felicitous and apt phrase, would think otherwise.

You, for example, cite stories and then ask whether this is racist, or say that it is not racist. You may not have got a grasp of what racism is, rather than what hypersensitive people claim it is. Sometimes your stance is indefensible, sometimes it is not. But that's a matter of opinion.
Thank you AOG for your elegantly phrased kind wishes / sarcastic put-down - but a complicated Sunday lunch will always take precedent.
"An army marches on its stomach" . Can't speak for Napoleon and his ideas for army catering, but you are a brave man to relegate AOG to a status below that of a cook, and one catering for only a few, sp ! Napoleon himself would be trembling, though his opinions might be sounder, and more clearly and logically expressed. Didn't know the man myself of course; I am not that old!
