I guess the other thing about this is that when on January the 1st we're not actually flooded with Romanians and Bulgarians he can turn around and say - 'Look it's because we acted - imagine what would have happened if we hadnt!'

There was a report on TV last night from Romania, there is an entire generation 'missing' in many places there. There are the old and the young but most of the working age population have already left.
UK is NOT the most popular destination ,Spain and Italy are preferred as they already have a sizeable Romanian / Bulgarian community. The interviewer could not find a single person who said they were thinking of coming to the UK, but several of them said that all those who wanted to come to the UK were already here and working.
