For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.saw some of the trial notes a few years ago , they felt iffy but I suppose we will get used to them, we have got used to small pennies and the half crown going, together with the ten bob note.

I have some Australian and Canadian notes which are very good. They feel fine and last much longer and don't get dirty and tatty quickly. Apparently the security features are much better as well.
Totally agree with Methyl as regard £1 coin and the £5 note. Both hould be scraped immediately and the £5 coin (preferrably smaller) be used as a replacement.
