Thanks mazie (Thought I'd pasted the link). Awful thing to happen, so close to Christmas.
Terrible news. I hope that the casualties are few and minor.

A curious incident.
Oh dear....I have been there so many times....so hope injuries are minor and no fatalities.
There, but for the Grace of God.....................
Hope all are ok. BBC ticker now suggests a roof collapse.
I daresay details will be sketchy for the next hour or so.
Sky News say Unconfirmed reports suggested some people may be trapped amid the debris. Also showing scaffolding at the theatre and telling of ongoing building work...
The last thing i saw at clients', was that two people believed to be trapped still, but everyone else out. No reports of fatalities- hope it stays that way.
Yes- roof, not balcony.
Pray that injuries are not serious and no fatalities.
The indication from Sky is everybody is now out of the debris and it was only part of the roof. This is not a 'Glasgow' thank goodness.
All trapped have been freed and there's 65 injured including walking wounded...
I have been in many audiences at the Apollo over the years...my thoughts are with the casualties tonight.
i hope to god there's no asbestos in all that dust,my brother died from that 2 years ago having worked in the demolition industry for 30 years
That is awful, I hope no-one is too seriously hurt.
I've seen 'The Curious Incident ...' at the Apollo - given the incredibly restricted exit stairs and doors it's a miracle that (as it appears) virtually everyone got out with only minor injuries and only a handful were more seriously hurt.
most old West End theatres have cramped exits, though it's hard to see what could be done about it without destroying the character of the buildings. Some suggestion that this one may have been caused by a rainstorm, presumable with water getting in through the roof.
