/// But since 2011, immigration from Poland has started to rise annually again, due to the Coalition's open door immigration policy. ///
Useless closing the stable door when the horse has already bolted.
If it hadn't been for Labour's vast immigration policy we would be in the mess we find ourselves in now.

“But since 2011, immigration from Poland has started to rise annually again, due to the Coalition's open door immigration policy. “
Er… not quite, Gromit. The Coalition’s policy on immigration (whether open door or otherwise) has no bearing on immigration from Poland. That is bound by the ridiculous “freedom of movement” principle brought about by our membership of the equally ridiculous EU.
“And what stable door has been closed? It is still wide open.”
There is no door. It, together with its hinges, bolts and padlocks have been taken down by the EU.
We don’t need to argue too much longer about the potential outcome of the latest piece of EU lunacy to strike our shores. The next few months will tell who is right: there are those who see no problems and see unfettered immigration as nothing but a great benefit to the UK; those who see a cataclysmic breakdown of life as we know it; finally there are those (including me) who suggest that something in between might occur - that the country will muddle along, that there will be even more pressure on already struggling services, most notably housing, healthcare and education.
To suggest that the arrival of large numbers of people, many of whom have not a cat in hell’s chance of ever becoming net contributors to the economy, will somehow benefit the UK is an argument which I am nowhere near clever enough to understand.

It will not be the EDL or UKIP or even the indigenous population that will be the ones mostly in opposition to this expected invasion from Eastern Europe, it will be from the now firmly established immigrants that the unrest will come from.
If it does, I wonder if it will be classed as racist or Xenophobia then?

Why would it not be racist or even xenophobic for an immigrant to have an irrational dislike of foreigners, immigrants from another country of origin than there own , AOG?
You seem to think that such epithets only apply to British native people. Of course, from your perspective, reading the sources you do, you may only have found examples of British racism and xenophobia, and so this erroneous belief may be fostered, but it remains a fallacious belief in logic and fact, nonetheless.

I did say this would happen...

Oh well, happy new year!
what if they are young British graduates, do they go and clean toilets for a living until something better comes along, i am only asking, because if so that surely is a waste of three years or how long it takes now to get a degree. And if they can't get work at all in chosen subject - should they take anything at all, this is never as clear cut as some seem to think
There will always be a small minority of people who have no interest in working, NJ, who firmly believe that their country owes them a living and are perfectly happy to drift through life on benefits. What do you suggest doing with these people? No doubt the DM readers will tell you that you should cut or stop their benefits after a certain number of months and/or certain number of job offers turned down. No doubt the bleeding heart liberals will counter-argue that that will simply force them into crime.
The migrant workers are coming to the UK to work, in many cases for vastly more money than they could earn at home. Whatever people may think about our current immigration policy, you can hardly blame them for exploiting it legally.
