Who would be wound up by the success of a British film?
Personally, I would be more wound up by 'Gravity' sweeping the board (dull, dull, dull).
Anyway, perhaps we should allow the AB Editor to decide whether this thread should be moved from the new section...I don't think any of the rest of us have the authority to make such decisions.

This from the Guardian for the more sensitive amongst us.
/// As a Bafta voter for many years I can reveal that the voting process is based less on artistic merit than on a combination of coercion, trend-following and pot luck," the writer suggests. "Let's be clear. Bafta voting guidelines state explicitly that you must only vote for films you have seen. Which makes perfect sense. But I've done it. And I bet everyone else has, too. You vote for the ones you think are going to win. ///

/// It's news, it's in the papers and on the TV news. Does it matter where it is? - it's being discussed. ///
If you have had your perfectly valid questions labelled 'Non-news stories' (especially by the OP) as many times as I have, you would understand why I was so quick to retaliate in the way I did.
Thet say, "What goes around comes around", one only has to wait.

Perhaps we may see such 'news stories' as these littering up the News Section in the future, unless an end is put to these matters now?
