Do you agree that this is the perfect come-back for those who wish to express their distaste with the comments made by UKIP councillor David Silvester?

Or do you think it's a bit tacky/childish?

I think it's a sublimely funny idea...and not malicious (eg. 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead').

Also, as an added bonus, it means a halfway decent number one to boot!

Brown calling someone a bigot is not he same as the UKiP man blaming gay marriage for flooding.
Brown's response was wrong, but it was just a label. You don't agree with me so you are a bigot. Not nice, but the Brown wasn't a nice man.

The UKiP man is apportioning blame for natural phenomenon, rain, which has caused misery, worry and harm to many people, and blaming it on same sex couples marrying. The rain is god punishing us for our moral decay according to him. To most people that is barmy talk of a simpleton, not someone looking for votes.

That is a more serious lapse of credibility than dismissing someone with a label for not agreeing with you.
that's the platter, DrFilth. It is on a CD called Strawberry Bubblegum that costs zillions if you can find it, but no other upload that I've been able to locate.

Sorry for the diversion, sp1814.
Gay marriages should be banned on St Swithin's day.
difference being is Gordon Brown was running the country, and going on others testimony he wasn't above effing and blinding at his staff, or anyone who got in his way. This UKIP bloke is suspended, probably out of the party, and has absolutely no chance of ever being in government, no chance of having a say in running the country. His views are idiotic, so are many who think religion is the answer to all their prayers, as to the P the Rochdale councillor i linked to would have much more experience of the problems associated with Rochdale, unlike us, who can expound on it without first hand knowledge. She was called a bigot by Brown, it's like saying anyone who doesn't agree with you on these problems is one,
like calling her a racist in essence, does that seem right or fair.

I may be mistaken but I'm sure the atmosphere of political correctness, prevalent at that time, meant that a lot of other people thought "bigoted woman" as well, only didn't say it out loud, or get caught on microphone.

In one of our previous threads, I think I even speculated that Brown said that in full knowledge that his mic was still on, so as to be seen to hold the politically correct view. If he'd been caught saying "she's bl**dy right, you know", he'd have been toast. (Amongst his own party and faithful voters).
