Not often I agree with Farage but I'm afraid it sounds as if he's right
Scrapping Trident is *not* the same as unilateral nuclear disarmament
As they might say on TV 'Other nuclear delivery systems are available'!
I can see no earthly justification for this humungous white elephant.
Hiding at the bottom of the sea incase the USSR knocks out all of our airfields etc. and tries to invade us.
I can see a potential use for tactical nuclear weapons in our current mode of 'defense' where we get drawn into conflicts around the globe.
For example in the first gulf war a tactical use of nuclear weapons on Iraqi troops in the desert regions might have been an option (probably not a political option but a military one)
Until we actually have a defense force dedicated to defending these Islands - rather than getting involved in foreign adventures we probably will want to keep the capability but let's start to think outside the box
or rather outside the sub!

Somebody on the Press Preview on Sky News last night had taken the trouble to look for UKIP's policies as printed on its website. He was amused to find that every one of them was to be announced. So it has a leader who didn't know what his party's policies were and who now leads a party without any published policy, it seems.

DC wont get us out of Europe, the other members wont agree to our conditions. . Osborne has made it easier to get a morgage and the immediate result had caused house prices to rise.
Labour would bankrupt us like last time. Brown failed big time ,with the banks. Ed Balls , Brown's side kick would like to have another go, borrow borrow , spend spend. Ed Milliband wants everyone to be given higher wages. Great ! Then we can see inflation go through the roof again.
