Steve Bell has never been overly popular on AB before, rather puzzlingly, but I thought I would post his cartoon from today's Guardian anyway. His Farage had me in stitches earlier this morning ::::

Oh well...perhaps you need to be a Guardian reader to see the humor !
well, I am, but sorry, I've never got a laugh out of Bell. Les Gibbard, now, he was good. And I like the various strips they have scattered through tthe Saturday edition.

What about Doonsbury JNO ? I can't even understand that, let alone find it funny. Am I missing something ?
well, that's about America, I've been following that since it started (45 years) and love it. But I've heard it said that it's more like a Dickens novel/soap opera than a comic strip - huge list of characters, followed in more or less real time from college to advanced middle age, new generations coming in, old ones dying, and the author sometimes completely forgetting what he had his characters doing 20 years ago and having to be reminded by readers.

I think it's a very British strip in that its humour relies heavily on irony. But many people say it's hard to get into unless (like me) you've been following it since it was protesting against the Vietnam war!
sorry... only 43 years.
Is that a condom on his head?!!
