all i see around me these days apart from the large supermarkets and who knows about those, are halal butchers, if a butchers has that sign up, which this one did, then why aren't there protests. It's been foisted on us here without a by or leave, you can find English butcher shops, but they are getting very rare.
Supermarkets undercut butcher shops with bulk purchase power.
That`s great but I wonder how many people here who are championing the cause for banning halal and kosher meat are quite happy to eat meat from supermarkets where the animals have been raised in factory farms? It`s all well and good to protest about a religion driven inhumane death but what about a price driven inhumane life?
unless one goes vegetarian then can't see how one could stop that. Unless one can afford to buy from the their local farmer, farmers market, or from outlets where you know how the cows, pigs are kept.
