I reckon Clegg is getting worried, he undoubtedly is looking forward to getting his snout back in the EU trough but if UKIP trump him then he may have a problem.

I heard Farage being interviewed on The Today program this morning. Clegg has accused him of not working hard enough at the only job he has to his name......as an MEP, and it appears Cleggie is correct.

Its difficult seeing the point of UKIP. They will probably never be a party of importance in Britain and they want to come out of the EU, which is enshrined in their name. But when they do go to Brussels, which isn't often, they just make trouble.

I agree with Gromit here...it is all about positioning ahead of the Euro Elections in May. but Farage is on very rocky ground here, as his attendance record in Brussels is appalling.

Just looked up Farage's voting record. One the stuff that matters, the final voting on legislation, he seems to to bother voting.

baz..I am on record here on AB of being far from worried about UKIP so-called growing popularity. They can get as popular as they like but they won't many, if any seats at Westminster. Its no secret that I wish for a clear Labour majority in May 2015 and as far as I can see, UKIP can only improve Labour's chances of that happening.

So, roll on more popularity for UKIP !

Farage probably will win the debate by miles... but he can afford to take the position that Clegg had in the 2010 TV debates. Populist, "new" and able to attack the other's record... but Farage has no record.
