Evidence That Ukip Really Are Bnp-Lite
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -politi cs-2680 8378
Interesting report from the BBC Website.
I have been accused in the past of being disingenuous by describing UKIP as BNP-lite but this link clearly demonstrates that some voters at least, have deserted the BNP for UKIP.
Perhaps dave was right after all..."fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists"

I am not surprised some leave BNP for UKIP. I strongly suspect there are a number of people concerned with immigration, doesnt mean they are racist, and had no where else to go but the likes of the BNP.
UKIP is not the BNP in any shape or form so those who dislike the racist side of the BNP may well moive to a party they feel represents them.

That isn't evidence of anything. The BNP became unelectable so its voters moved on. Most people voted for them as a protest vote and now there is a more attractive party to vote for to protest.
Having seen the EDL in the flesh, many of its ranks are full of the hardcore racist nutters which led to the BNPs demise. That is because they are the same nutters. The EDL accommodated ex BNP more that UKiP have.

My utter disdain for UKIP knows no bounds and I won't be put off by a lot of Tory supporters from saying so. The ultra right are on the move all over Europe, as can be seen from the results from France. We ignore the rise of the ultra right at our peril, as has been seen in recent European history. They appeal to the same base instincts that other ultra right parties have always done...fear of foreigners being the prime reason.
The aspect that I don't really understand about people who profess to like UKIP so much that they are considering voting for them, is that they appear to have no real knowledge of what UKIP stands for. That UKIP has a zero chance of winning the next General Election just adds to the mystery. Why would so many people want to vote for a Party that can't win an Election ? Even Farage himself acknowledges that he can't and won't win in May 2015. What is the point ? There are only two Parties that have ever, in modern times, had a real chance of winning an Election and forming the next Government, and UKIP isn't one of them ! Voting for UKIP will be like peeing yourself while wearing dark trousers...it might give you a warm feeling, but nobody will notice the difference.
Some of the people interviewed in the link above said that they have previously voted Labour. So, why on earth would they transfer their allegiance from a left-of-centre Party, to a far right Party ?
If there isn't enough reason to dislike UKIP already, how about this link to the DM

Couldn't the same be said for the base instincts of the ultra left, fear of anyone who opposes their thinking, along with their fear of free speech and democracy.

How proud Farage must be to sit amongst such a worthy lot. It is said that to sup with the Devil, you need a long spoon. Farage must be in possession of the spoon with the longest handle in history in that case.
Perhaps potential UKIP voters need to do some research before they put their crosses on any ballot papers. Education is everything.
