Will there be special shirt lifting sessions & will the bathrooms at No10 now be renamed His & His and Hers & Hers. Will Mrs Cameron now be exchanging views about frocks & latest fashions with Transvestite friends ? It all sounds very exciting, good old Dave.
Is it not more likely that there will be parties there with a number of openly gay guests attending? The subtext being, if a party can have a subtext, that the Tories don't want to exclude people because of their sexuality.
AOG...your link is somewhat confusingly dated 11 June 2010.
Number Ten is giving a reception to celebrate annual Gay Pride, something that previous incumbents of the office of Prime Minister have done in the past ::
"Downing Street said next week’s reception would be a ‘celebration’ of the achievements of gay equality campaigners. A spokesman said: ‘Ahead of a summer of Prides, it will be a recognition of the importance gay people play in national life.’
Gay people have struggled for many years so that they are not discriminated against. Far be it for me to support dave but I am still not sure what, if anything is wrong here Farriercm ? Does this perhaps go against your own personal prejudice ?
/// “Instead, the Prime Minister will host a reception at Downing Street for LGBT rights campaigners and the pink press on the morning of Pride London. Those invited are mostly - not entirely - tame apologists for New Labour. Critics of the government’s record, like myself, are not invited. ///
It would seem that under the last Labour administration certain gays were not welcome to number 10.
How is this any different from the gays who weren't welcome to a certain hotel?
I can’t see why this discussion is continuing. If Farriercm is intent on finding something to ridicule, he should look elsewhere - and for something rather more topical.
