Cyril Smith's Family Are Sad Apparently
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -englan d-manch ester-2 7008791
Perhaps they should feel some sadness for all the boys that Smith is said to have abused instead . Being abused my Smith must be akin to being run over by a large flabby steamroller I should imagine. And why, if the CPS say that he should have been charged with sex crimes 40 years ago, did they, or their predecessors not act ?

This one is even worse than Jimmy Saville isn't it. I don't remember M15 being involved in that one. honestly, if the establishmen t are prepared to sweep Cyril's crimes under the carpet they'll do absolutely anything if it suits them.

Mr Smith's preferences were an open secret in journalistic circles. Like Jimmy Savile he seems to have enjoyed the protection of powerful people who weren't too troubled at the thought of ill-shod waifs being interfered with.
I'd feel happier though if revulsion was focused on his actions. His physique while striking should not enter into it. Kind of makes a culture of hate-speak. IMO.

Woofgang, the piece I read did not sound like an invention. It was a scared child being assaulted by a 29 stone monster. He went there that day. The child was there that day. That much is not disputed. What happened - well Cyril Smith is now dead, but that does not mean we should ignore what is said - and what at the time was covered up.

The Westminster village must be an absolute den of those trying to and succeeding in fiddling their expenses and also abusing their position,if that's not an unfortunate phrase,in more sordid pursuits.Although people fought and died in two world wars to protect the right to vote I,at the moment, feel disinclined to use my right at the forthcoming elections.
