DF, if for a time one has to cut back then so be it, but look in any supermarket, two for one offers are prominent, means that whilst you pay for the one item, the other may well go to waste, fruit is a case in point, large bags of oranges for a pound say, and get one free, but unless you get on and eat the lot. they won't last, same for other goods,

Sorry, but I found the tone of the question a bit offensive, even if it was meant tongue in cheek. As far as I can see, the biggest rats of all live in and around our capital city, smugly declaring that everything is fine and dandy and it's everyone else fault if they're poor. I live up (no oo's in it) north and I lead the life of Riley.
