Euro elections are just a chance to check the political parties' standings in a real-vote situation, as opposed to opinion polls. Cameron took the Conservative MEPs from the majority group (ie, the grouping with the most power) and he moved his merry men to sit with Italian and Spanish far right fascists, who fortunately have a very small grouping (and no power).

But with Brussels you just find that ... "you can't do that (any more), it's against a new EU Law". And that's it, done and dusted forever. No democratic scrutiny.
