I mind my own business even if people ask me my opinion, I rarely find that they are happy to be disagreed with.
Both really. I'll give an honest opinion if asked, but i don't expect people to agree with or follow my advice. People are entitled to make their own choices.
If I'm asked my opinion or for advice I will give it. I try not to be harsh or rude about it, even if it's not what they want to hear.

But, if not asked, I try to keep my nose out of other people's business. And just gossip to Mr P about it instead.
I don't get involved at all. I will listen if someone want to talk as mainly they just want to unburden themselves but I just don't give advice. I'd hate to end up being piggy in the middle.
I usually mind my own business unless I can see a full on catastrophe occurring or unless someone genuinely asks my opinion. It doesn't pay to give unsolicited advice very often I don't think.
"unsolicited advice is merely interference"

(No idea who said it, but I like it.)
