perception, led by the media, its not about personalities, or it shouldn't be, it should be about what the party of which ever persuasion can do for the country it governs. Firm policies, not shilly shallying around, tell us what they will do on immigration, perhaps they can't because by and large its not entirely up to us is it, seeing as how the EU rules on matters of freedom of work to its EU citizens, and that borders are not closed to those citizens. and the argument about we can also do the same doesn't hold water, as most of the countries in the EU apart from Germany are struggling, its why their citizens move away, their standard of living,
wages, health service are not nearly as comparable as ours.
