A bit scathing from the Mail, it must be bad.

Damning - How does he get away with it?
// Iain Duncan Smith has vetoed the publication of a damning internal assessment of universal credit that laid bare the problems facing his scheme, The Independent has learnt.
The only project not to get a rating, as part of the Government’s drive to increase transparency, was universal credit. The Independent understands that the Major Project Authority (MPA) had rated universal credit as “red”, signifying that it is “unachievable within reasonable timescales and to a reasonable budget without urgent remedial action”.
But Mr Duncan Smith succeeded in an internal Whitehall battle in stopping the scale of universal credit’s problems being made public. It was also agreed with Downing Street to release the MPA’s report on the day of the local election results to minimise adverse publicity. //

Yes Mikey he is a failed leader,of a very failing Party.I see they wheeled him out yesterday on the Adam Boulton talk in show, to try and smear other Parties and give the Cons a much needed boost, he is just a pawn in the game but does not realize it.Think he is going to become a member of the BBC in 2015. BBC Means Bye Bye Cameron.
I have to admit that when I saw this post my first thought was 'that's the guy with the really shiny head'.
I have no strong political leanings because all the parties have strengths and weaknesses. The majority of MPs appear to have had their personalities removed prior to election. Then they had an injection of something that makes them appear slimy and untrustworthy with the inability to answer a straight question with a straight answer.
The two lads running the country have cats that hate each other. But my money is on Freya if there is ever a massive fight against Larry.

An unofficial source has suggested that Universal Credit may be finally ready by the time they retire -- in ten years. And this might be optimistic!
The whole thing's a total mess. Being attempted at the wrong time, with not enough money, headed by a maniac who seems incapable of listening to advice that he doesn't want to hear and yet sadly immovable. He should have been sacked already in the last major reshuffle but Cameron was unable to move him apparently. Pretty awful all-round, really.

It's only a rumour but I understand that IDS was asked to go somewhere else and said "No thanks, I'd rather stay here". And so he did. Exactly how long the discussion was, how firm the request was, aren't so clear I think. But at any rate, if Cameron wanted IDS to leave the DWP PDQ then he didn't manage to shift him.
