Should The Queen Abdicate Now- Thinking About This After Carlos Spain

I was wondering what people think. Should the Queen abdicate and give her role to Charles. IF she lives to be the same age as her mum Prince Charles would be 89 when he takes over the throne. She has done a good job but surely it is time she went now what do people think?

i do believe that she writes her own speeches, and that she has input into government, whether its put into play that is besides the point,
she has been head of state for 60 years and as far as i can see never put a toe out of line, never a bad word, even though she has had no choice in meeting some right stinkers over time, not least people like Mugabe, and that odious Martin McGuinness. that would stick in my craw,

you don't care for the monarchy, well so be it, however i think she has been an amazing ambassador for Britain, and that she continues in the role until she says otherwise. If you listen to her speech dedicating her life to the country, in front of thousands, when just a young woman, you wouldn't be so hard on her

I wonder how many people these days are not adulterers? as for Charles that type of thing goes with the job, what about Edward V11 he had numerous mistresses?

We only got to hear about Charles because his wife chose to announce his wrongdoings to the viewing public.

I think you already know, really, AOG, that whether or not other people are adulterers is totally beside the point. Other people don't have to represent the State of the United Kingdom, and the Commonwealth etc., on the World stage.

I THINK CHARLES SHOULD BE BY-PASSED. HE IS A BIT OF A CLOWN. THE QUEEN COULD STAY FOR ANOTHER FEW YEARS AS SHE OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T WANT TO GIVE IT UP AND THEN PASS IT ON TO WILLIAM AFTER HE HAS HAD QUALITY TIME WITH HIS GROWING FAMILY

an appalling way to look at any person who has done such a job.
she served in the war, you do know that at least, as did her husband, what a downer on those who have done for the most part a duty that very few people would take on. You do hate them, don't understand that at all

no, she took it on as a job for life and most people are happy with the way she does it, even when they don't think the job should exist.

I don't know if Charles will ever be king. He's not as healthy as his parents, I'm told, so his mother could outlive him.

i was merely pointing out that she has done more than wave a hand at the passing crowds, how many PM have their been in her time in office, how many old age pensioners would still be standing let alone do her schedule, few i suspect.
