just on the grounds that the tiny piece of elastic round the back of the heel had snapped inside it's leather strappy ankle bit, honestly, she had destroyed those shoes, and the reason the ankle elastic snapped is because she either did not know of the existance of Timpsons to get them re-heeled, or she was just too big fat and lazy, so just carried on wearing them 'til the heel wore away and then she was slipping off them so the elastic snapped with the tension. I tell the' some folk are unbelievable. She was given a full refund because she had had them less than 3 months!

based on the disgusting state of the shoes and the fact that she said she only had one day off a week which is why she could only come in that day and needed to get some new ones for work the next day, but my shoes have been worn 10 hours a day for the past 6 months and they still have excellent tread on the sole and apart from needing a polish they still look pretty neat and tidy,
Hm sounds pretty familiar to me, used to work on the customer service desk in a fairly well knowen store that sels cut price designer clothes and homewear.
The amount of manky swetty shoes ive had to touch just because the person had worn them so much they had worn out was unrealistic...i would never have thought have returning half the stuff people returened.
I dont think it is posible for her to keep doing this tho because if she keeps doing it in the same shop the staff would get wise to her. I remember plenty regulars who would try and return stuff and basically we would say no.
My sister worked on the customer services desk of a large supermarket. A woman brought back a blouse which she had scorched while ironing it. Apparently it was the shop's fault as although there was the usual label giving the correct ironing temperature, it did not specifically tell her that it might scorch if too high a temperature was used.
And she got a complete refund!
