But you know there seems to be murder cases every day on the BBC website, Its my home page, so its the first place I look every day. I think you are probably right about the reporting, although I don't remember it being so bad only a few years ago.

Not as wicked as 10 years ago. The murder rate has been declining sincethen, quite sharpely.

UK 652 murders: rate 1.0
USA 14,173 murders: rate 4.8

The UK rate works out at about 13 every week, so not too difficult for the Mucky Media to pick three out at any one time.

Perhaps its me just being a hangdog today, but that couple who murdered her parents has got to somehow. I think it goes past wicked and is simply evil. And yet they nearly got away with it. I'm not sure how they were eventually found out, as there isn't much info in the link. Well, they will die in jail, so justice wins out in the end.

the Nottingham case was reported on Central News last Friday. apparently her father's 100th birthday was approaching and there was official interest in him for that reason. at that stage, the game was up and it quickly unraveled.
