When is the wider community going to do something about the bully that is Israel, why do they get away with mass bombing and killing?
I'm not on any side, am non religious and I am only going on what I see on the BBC, Sky and online newspapers, they are all saying the same, Israel are in the wrong!

with US encoragement Israel declared a cease fire last week and waited 3 hours, hamas kept firing missiles. Hamas can stop this anytime.

Yes, because those are just words. They know that if they said the reverse, it would put them in a bad relation with the Arabs who all support Hamas. They know that Israel can ignore what they say, because the Israelis understand why they have to say it.

You should start trying to understand the situation, instead of taking it all at face value.

Surely bert_h all of the experts at the UN, BBC etc haven't got it wrong, they understand the situation and are not taking it at face value!!! From my point of view, and I know little about it compared to these 'experts', Israel are way out of control and the Palestinians have nowhere to go, they are trapped by the sea and borders with Israel and Egypt, why would Israel bomb the hell out of places of sanctuary, like schools and hospitals which were put in place by the UN? The death toll is very much one sided, only 2 Israeli citizens killed compared to hundreds on the Palestinian side, this is not me just saying it but the rest of the world!! I say again that I think Israel is out of control, they want rid of Palestine!

this is genocide, Israel are doing to the Palestinian people what Germany tried to do to them in WW2, to wipe them off the face of the earth!!! Something must be done about it!

"why would Israel bomb the hell out of places of sanctuary" - those places are not specifically targetted but the reply to that question is: Why would Hamas keep firing rockets when then know that in effect they are killing their own people? There is now a cease fire for 3 days, anyone like to speculate as to which side will break it?

Israel says it will not halt its Gaza operation until tunnels built by Hamas are destroyed. Strange that it’s bombing hospitals, schools, and homes then. Perhaps it thinks the entrances to these tunnels are secreted away in cupboards under the stairs. :o/

Hamas has broken the ceasefire on each occasion,the muslims will not stop terrorist activities until they get world domination,hats off to Israel for standing up to them,if more western governments stood up to them then it would all be nipped in the bud,of course we dont want to see child deaths in any war but you have to realise that the youngsters of today are tomorrows terrorists.
