Bin The Politician
Along with estate agents and the man who wrote 'The Cheeky Song', politicians are generally held in contempt by the ordinary person in the street.
However, as much as we dislike them, don't you think that the actions of this crowd is genuinely disturbing?

/// The claims come as four Tower Hamlets Muslims were jailed for at least 19 years for attacking a local white teacher who gave religious studies lessons to Muslim girls. ///
/// One victim, Mohammed Monzur Rahman, said he was left partially blind and with a dislocated shoulder after being attacked by a mob in Cannon Street Road, Shadwell, for smoking during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan last year. ///
/// Last year, a mob of 30 young Muslims stormed a local gay pub, the George and Dragon, beating and abusing patrons. ///

Mamyalynne - "So because it isn't as serious as something else - it's ok??"
I would entirely agree.
You cannot minimse the effect of one violent incident by attempting to trump it with another.
Quite apart from which, the wto incidents are entirely different - one is a mob making a political protest, albeit violently, and the other is extremists making a religious protest.
Neither view validates the violence meted out - but neither is of secondary importance because of the severity of that violence either.

No I don't think it is disturbing compared to some of the things happening in Ukraine.
Last week our friend's dad by some miracle escaped death when a Russian terrorist shell hit his apartment building in Donetsk. He was lucky compared to many.
So while I don't condone actions like this ,I understand people's fury with Ukrainian politicans. They are not like our MPs (Ok I can hear predictably cries of mirth, but they really are not). Most are corrupt beyond belief.

/// Yet more islamophobia from the usual suspect. Yawn. ///
So the Telegraph was also islamophobic for printing their report?
Obviously you have taken no notice of Auntie ED's request to cease throwing out insults, I do hope she takes this on board.
Also you should have noticed that one of their victims was a Muslim, so am I islamophobic for criticising the treatment he received.
In the third report to victims were Gays so at least you can not hang the Homophobic label around my neck.

I have to say, it *is* odd that you criticise some for drawing comparisons in threads you raise when you do exactly the same in other threads.
I would disagree that your obsession with anything non-white is 'boring'. I myself find it both charming and idiosyncratic.
But then, you cannot trust my taste - I also like cheese and Marmite sandwiches (don't knock it if you've not tried it).

Throw the Russian politician in the bin,
he is manhandled....
and then the on lookers thro small vials of water on him ....
I am pretty sure it would be water but it could be lighter fluid
and I looked hard for someone lighting up
He must have been terrified quite honesty
Splashing petrol on people and threatening them is part of the culture in Manchester and is almost certain to get you pooping in your pants.
And is it worse than storming a gay pub and threatening punters and the staff - yes I think so. Think Stonewall. I am amazed the more aggressive denizens of the George and Drag ( that would be the lesbians ) didnt fight back.
