As usual the English tax payer, and as I am one, I am not happy with the waste of money for a politicians ego trip.

i wouldn't recommend telling any of the 3 million plus who voted - especially any of the 1.8 million who agreed with AS - that they were just caught up in 'a politician's ego trip'

It's called running a democracy - there are bound to be overheads

and it was probably cheaper than any alternative course of action
