General Election
After the G/E election next may, when the Conservatives are in opposition,
do you think that Cameron will appear as a stronger leader when in opposition than he does now????

Tora, The Tories failed to get a majority in 2010 after 13 years of Labour. Do you really think they will be more popular after these 5 years of shambles? They will lose MPs. Maybe not a lot, but enough to lose power.

Your thread has a fatal flaw Farriercm !
When Labour wins next May, dave will not be the leader of the Tories long enough to make any impression in opposition at all, strong or not. He will be on the back benches and either May or Boris will be the leader of the opposition. The Tories has shown many times in the past that a failed leader is kicked out ASAP. Remember Major, Hague, Howard and IDS ?

Beware the IDS of March, in fact any month. !
Cammy will never be strong leader. He leads from behind at all times. The Tories MUST get rid of him. Maybe Davies would be a better leader? One thing is for sure though, the Tories will be gone in May and we'll have a hung parliament. Millipede is also a bad leader and he HAS to go. As for little Nicky Clogg..... who? Ah how quickly they forget once they have been consigned to the history books. Politics is in a mess right now and only a cigarette paper between those 3 parties. They are all one and the same nowadays.

You are entitled to your opinion Blackadder but if you really believe that they were not pushed from behind, you appear not to have a grasp of realpolitik.
As regards Major, Hague and Howard saying that they left of their own accord, to quote Mandy Rice Davies......"Well, they would say that wouldn't they"

I would think that if he loses the election to Labour then Dave will not be leader for longer than it takes to turf him out with an appearance of civility, so it is difficult to answer the OP. Hypothetically - he'd be a darned sight better as Leader of the Opposition than is Eddie. I suspect that there may be another coalition in power, but with the current shifting sands it is difficult to call. Possibly Lab/a couple of Libs or possibly Tory/Ukip. It will all be very interesting - - -.
ok I'll have a tenner on the tories at 1000/1 then, ok genius? easy tenner for a certainty, No? thought not, not so clear when you back it with your own money is it? WAP! where is your time machine? Do you really think the public will put Red Ed in? I'm going to be reminding you of this thread after may!
if the Conserves lose I will resign .,Every thing will be fine .No matter who would beat the Torys it would be the old" we are sorting out what was left to us" .So does it not make sense to put that excuse out of reach. I will have to work for buttons no matter who gets in .At least I know where I stand with Davys mob ,have a notion Id be worse of with Eddies mob .
TTT...I know I have said this before but the Tories are still showing no sign of getting ahead in the Polls and staying ahead, and now that we are about 5 months before the hustings start, it is looking increasingly unlikely that dave will win an outright majority. If he couldn't do it in 2010, then he isn't going to do it in 2015.
Its either going to be Labour, or a Labour-led coalition. Either way he is out of his ear after next May.
This could change of course, if dave is willing to do a deal with UKIP but he has discovered that when you stitch things up with another party, you need a very long spoon to allow you to sup with the Devil.
