The ex always used to swear blind that when he worked at Siemen (which was based in Staines at the time), the telephonist who was gorgeous but dim, was told to answer the phone "Good morning - Siemen Staines" and never understood the caller's reaction. Probably another one of his tall tales but I thought it was funny at the time.
