Who In Britain Are Targeting The Jews And Why?

Not being a Jew I could not tell you if their perceived relationships with other members of the community have got worse of late or whether this is just something that's always been felt. I am not aware of any anti Jew attitudes rising. It would be interesting to know what these four anti Semitic statements were. For sure the two stated are not anti Semitic but reflect a generalisation group view. Although the second stated is disappointing. I'm unsure this is more than filling newspaper space. Do you think they are being targeted ?
well at least 2 AB members have said they think Israel should be wiped off the map, and no, one of them is not keyplus, so I do think there is a swell of antisemitism going hand in hand with Islamification and anti western values. Sadly many are blind to what is happenning to our country and will only wake up when their local islington coffee shop starts operating under Sharia principles!

What peoples say in public and in private on this subject differs widely in my opinion.
Throughout Europe, there has been arise in antisemitism over the past twenty to 30 years and i base this on anecdotal evidence gained from talking to people from different European countries.

I have tried on many occasions to raise a debate on why the Jews are "hated" so much, if they really are, but threads based on this premise have been removed.
Am I antisemitic........depends upon one's definition........do i hate Jews? then the answer is NO. Am i I suspicious of Jews? then the answer is YES.

The problem here is religion again. The Jewish religion reckons they are the superior race. If you take that attitude then you will attract criticism and opposition. The same goes for Islam, as TTT points out.

The whole problem is that British people percieve the Muslim faith and Judaiism to be the domain of a load of fanatics such as we see on T.V..These two faiths then do themselves no favours when their elders or whatever the Senior men in these religions are called do not come out and distance themselves from this fanatisism.Thus leaving Brits to believe that the members of their local mosque or synagogue are in fact closet terrorists.

I do not believe the indigenous British, think for one moment that the Jews are closet terrorists, couldn't this rise in anti-Semitism be down to the rise of Islam in the UK?

Since when has there been Jewish terrorism in Europe? That notion is daft.
One really has to distinguish between the religion and the state of Israel (and the latter is Zionism). Actually, most Muslims have nothing against the Jewish faith and it is seen as part of the trilogy of Abrahamic religions, it's Zionism that they are anti.
The fear of Jewish people is one created by perception and not fact, that they are very insular and to themselves, driven by deed and success, the leaders of their society and companies being based on meritocracy, without our concepts of inheritance either in that sense and one that prolongs the dynasties.

I have often been accused of being anti-semitic on here, ( I notice it has happened again, above ) when I have criticised Isreal the State and in particular, its foreign policy. I would not admit to being anti-semitic, and the 50% figures seems way too high. When I am out, I rarely hear anyone calling Jews but I heard criticism of muslims all the time.
I have Bangladeshi friends and I occassionally hear them calling Jews. I also have Turkish friend and they never said anything until the MV Mavi Mamara incident when Israel killed nine. Israel eventually apologised to Turkey, but the damage was done and there is a big anti-israel sentiment now that manifests itself as anti-Semitic.

Firstly, I am doubtful there has been any significant rise in anti-semiticism in the UK. And the numbers don't add up. Muslims don't make up anywhere near half of the UK. If there has been a significant rise so that half of the UK is anti-Semitic, it must be the 90% majority who are not muslim, that is responsible for the rise. But I don't believe it.
If I do hear attacks on Jews, it is usually from football fans. The same football fans who are also aligned with far right parties like the BNP. But again, they have not significantly increased (the opposite in fact), so again, any increase cannot be put down to them.
There has certainly been a change in perception of Israel being a friendly State. The wars in Gaza, the attack on the flotilla, the treatment of the Palestinians does not go down well with younger people. Israel, the State, has rather shot istself in the foot by its aggressive foreign Policy and its disregard for what anyone else thinks of them.
So in summary, I do not think anti-Semiticism has increased, but I think Israel the State has suffered a Public Relations disaster over the last 10 years.

What more proof do you need, almost every British newspaper is reporting on it, and it is proven by a YouGov poll

As you have providing links showings stats that suggest a quarter of Britons hold anti-Semitic views, I would suggest that the rise might be down to a combination of an increase in the Muslim population, coupled with antipathy to Israel's actions on the West Bank and traditional British anti-Jewish sentiments (because the figure of 25%) is hell of a lot.
