H e would be too gracious to smugly declare, "I told you so" to the left wing who labelled him a racist crank. After all he hadn't set a time limit when the rivers of blood would flow due to excessive immigration policies. Sadly, it appears, the chickens come home to roost. i.e. Paris, Birmingham ? where next I wonder.

I fear we are soon to be gobbled up in to a 'Greater Birmingham' which will be a great shame as far as I'm concerned. Give us back our shires!
As for the damage to the shops this horrible incident occurred in one road only and has not spread all over Birmingham. Hopefully it will not escalate.

Enoch Powell spent the latter years of his political career as MP for South Down, where he would have seen at close hand the consequences of a society divided not by immigration and he would have had to admit I think that violence in NI far exceeded anything he predicted at the time.
I predict all sorts of things but my get out clause is that I set no time boundary on my predictions: I can always claim it has 'yet to happen'
In fairness Enoch P was probably too clever a man (he did after all leave the Tories for Labour :-) ) not to admit that he'd had his allotted time span for the Tiber prediction several times over :-)
