The Daily Mail Is Not As Bad As Some Of You Would Like Us To Believe.

Much is said (mainly negative) on this site regarding The Daily Mail with accusations of telling lies, being racist, anti Islamic, and of possessing and publishing a particular right-wing agenda, if all these are so then why do they support and campaign certain issues such as the Stephen Lawrence case and now this?

No but it is interesting to see how much trouble our politicians will go through to protect it's 'Nationals'.
A good example was Abu Hamza who after an 8 year legal battle, trying to remain here, he was finely extradited from the UK to the United States to face terrorism charges.

Dannyk13...right on the button at 14:49 today ! Can you imagine the fuss and bother if an American citizen was held captive in a foreign country for 13 years without a trial. The Yanks should be ashamed of themselves. They continually try to foist their own version of democracy on the whole world but don't seem to be able to manage it in their own backyard.

You know my reasons for slighting the Daily Mail (which you have kindly summarised in your question), but I have to ask - why do you seek to defend it so much?
I read the Guardian, Total Film, Empire and the Independent and couldn't give two hoots if someone on AB slates any of these publications. I don't own shares in any of them, nor have I any vested interest.
...so your defence of the Daily Mail seems,...odd.

The Daily Mail has a proven track record of right-wing bias and insidious fact twisting.
One of the two brothers who founded it was friends with Hitler and Mussolini.
This 'newspaper' is a laughingstock of the British gutter-press IMO, I've not just grabbed this out of thin air (as I'm sure you're aware AOG) wide-scale ridicule of this publication is well known, and it's not just from 'lefties'.
THIS, is one of the reasons I (jokingly) refer to some of AB's posters as "fascists".
