Don't know but I was working in Saudi when he came to the throne. We all got 2 months salary as a bonus. I bought a car out of it!

SirO...in the case of the Middle East, this sadly is all too true ! The country has been a personal fiefdom of the Saud family for far too long. If they produced carrots instead of oil, we wouldn't give a toss one way or the other.

What they need is heavy dose of one-man-and-woman-one-vote...we call it democracy in our civilised part of the world.

Eddie my father also worked in Saudi and got extra pay when a previous king died as the World Cup was being broadcast on Saudi TV. You can guess there was more prayer time than footie coverage. He bought a RH drive car in Jeddah and imported it into the UK with his bonus.
