The Country needs to be fearful of Ed and his mob!
He obviously thinks Ed is a strong leader, or he wouldn't be quaking in his Boots in his Monte Carlo Mansion.

Not sure why anyone s taking notice of a foreign billionaire who has taken a 160 year old British Company and made it Swiss, who does not live in this country and pays no tax.here.
Ed isn't red. He's pink. Mind you he was better than Tony Blair, the best conservative leader this country never had.

That said, though I don't think he will, I do hope he makes his mark against Tory barons and UKIP no marks.

Up the revolution brothers.....
at least he's gone ane lived abroad. Andrew Lloyd-Webber only threatened to but unfortunately never went.

If business leaders hiding in tax havens are fearful that the "reds" will make them pay tax, I think that's great. How about you?
According to an Alliance Boots spokesman who said, The company paid 50% more UK tax in 2013-2014 than it had paid in 2006. It paid out around £550 million, including business rates and National Insurance. Of this around £90 million is thought to have been paid in corporation tax. In the UK and Boots is still based in Nottingham.
One of Labours biggest donors is less then enchanted with Labours visions of the future as well. Mr John Mills, a millionaire business man donated £1.65 million to Labour in 2013. Seems these champagne socialists do not like people who own mansions but are willing to take their donations.
If you are a business leader, be afraid, be very afraid: Red Ed is coming to make you do the right thing Arrhhhhh !
// Alliance Boots, the owner of Boots the chemist, has avoided £1.1bn in taxes by routing its cash through a series of subsidiaries in well-known tax havens including Luxembourg, Cayman Islands and Gibraltar, according to a new report.

The company saved the money by loading the UK business with debts from its £12.2bn private purchase in 2007 and legally claiming tax relief against the interest.

The campaigners claim that 40 per cent of Boots’ sales come from NHS-funded services such as prescription drugs and flu jabs – and called on the Government not to hand contracts to companies that do not pay their fair share in tax. //

A bunch of corporate spivs. A positive advantage NOT to have these w@nkers on your side.
These will be the spivs that do keep the country going then Gromit, or would you prefer the commie version where the State owns everything?

I think I probably know the answer to that though.

All business and any tax payer needs to be afraid of Balls rather than Red Ed.
Ed's no more "red" than Thatcher. It's just all hype.
YMB,
So not paying the treasury £1.1 billion by including debts incurred in foreign subsidiaries is keeping the country going is it.
And registering this 160 year British business in Switzerland, I suspect you will tell me is just great business rather than a weasily unpatriotic act.

janbee, //Ed's no more "red" than Thatcher. It's just all hype.//

Really? And you seem to be one of his supporters. Curious.
