Affordable Luxury Cars
What cars would you consider luxurious but not necessarily in the prestige car price bracket? By luxurious, in this context I refer to a car that is comfortable, has a good ride quality, and low interior noise, and has a nice quality "feel" to it. I'm not bothered about the bells and whistles as such, purely the dynamic qualities of the car. A car you might sum up as being smooth and quiet perhaps. Any suggestions?

OH has an XJ6 and that is an incredibly smooth comfortable ride with quality feel., all leather and walnut. Only negative is it's a bit of an old man's car which he is not :-)

I looked long and hard at the S type trying to like the styling, which harks back to the Mk2 (which I like) but found that I couldn't get on with it. The X type however is a scaled down version of the XJ with the performance of a Porsche 924 but all the practicality of a 45 seater saloon.
Because of the dogs I opted for an X type estate in the end.

Just got hold of a renault Laguna and compared to my last peice of scrap it's a luxury!! If we love our cars they are our own slice of luxury!
I'd love to run a Jag or a Merc, not a fan of Beemers. If cash was no object i'd have a fight between a Ferrari, McLaren or a an Aston Martin... mind you if money was no object I'd have all three and a Poster Red 4.2L long nose Jag E Type as well....;0)
