None of this should be made public until he is actually charged. How long is it going to go and even if they decide there are no charges to answer, the damage is already done, mud sticks, as they say.

I am guessing that most of the people behind Cliff Richard are now of the blue rinse brigade.
They were young impressionable teenagers in his heyday and have been a loyal fan base ever since. "Oh he cannot possibly be involved in all these horrid things those beasts are accusing him of"He is a lovely boy and I know he doted on his mother." We will see as possible evidence gathers won't we?

I don't know that any damage has been done. We've seen a lot of allegations against a lot of people; some have been proved, some haven't. At the moment, the case againt Cliff is still at the gossip stage. Let's see if they come up with anything concrete... in the next couple of years.

well, how many months have we been waiting? They're widening their investigation - from nothing... I loathe Freddie Starr, but he was royally shafted, waiting two years to be told they'd found nothing. I don't think people should have to go through this.

how can investigations take two years and still come up with nothing? There ought to be time limits (I'm surprised there don't seem to be).

Do we actually know they have come up with nothing or could it be they are seeking more evidence to make sure of a watertight case and conviction? I don't want them rushing it, let them do what they have to do for as long as it takes.

People were saying exactly the same thing about Savile, until the evidence was overwhelming. I don't know if Richard is guilty or not buy when there is enough evidence, the Police will charge him. But if he is innocent, perhaps he shouldn't have consorted with known sexual deviants in the first place. As someone has already said on here....lying down with dogs generally leaves you with fleas.

As these events happened decades ago, we can't expect the investigation to be completed in a couple of days.

Would it, per chance, be a massive coincidence that this paragon of virtue has renounced British Citizenship for some time now. He doesn't pay tax to the UK as he is a citizen of Barbados and holds a Passport granted to him by this country. Unusually, Barbados will only grant a Passport and citizenship to someone who marries a Barbadian????
