Or a good thing, very much long overdue?
Perhaps those who support 'boots on the ground' in foreign countries, would care to make some suggestions of what should first be done in this country?
/// The Sunday Telegraph has been told that the number of jihadists who have now travelled to Syria to fight with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) has exceeded more than 700. ///
/// Of those, about 320 “dangerous” jihadists have now returned to the UK after fighting with Isil, reinforcing the urgent need in Whitehall for a new set of anti-extremist measures. ///

/// Hopefully these proposals will be implemented as soon as possible. ///
*** The Sunday Telegraph understands that it will be published before Parliament is dissolved for the general election at the end of the month but could be implemented immediately. ***
/// It does concern me that these reported are initially 'leaked' to
newspapers. ///
Yes that is very disturbing, but it is not the first time something has been 'leaked' in such a way, but funny enough one never hears of anyone taken to task over it.

I think we should be suspicious of any 'leaks' 8 weeks before a General Election.
ISIS is designated a terrorist organisation by the British Government. I am puzzled how or why 320 of its members can just come back to Britain unimpeded. Surely if we know these people belong to a terrorist organisation, they should be arrested as soon as their plane touches down on British soil.
It is either an incredible security lapse, or the 320 figure is not credible. If it is true, the Home Secretary should resign immediately.

Al Sisi has shut down 27,000 mosques in Egypt (obviously a muslim country) Time some of our politicians started to face reality. Just this morning, our foreign secretary(Hammond) repeated that tiresome myth, ' There's no problem with Islam, one or two fanatics are blackening the name of, what after all, is the religion of peace.'
They must think if they keep repeating it often enough, people will suspend belief and actually buy into it.

//Would that be the Al Sisi leader of the military coup that overthrew the democratically elected Government of Egypt? //
yup that would be the one
the democratically elected govt of Egypt al mursi appointed an Islamist to be Governor of Luxor and the people there ran thro the streets shouting Mr Mursi we dont want to starve....
The would be governor had the good grace to resign saying he wasnt up to the job
That was may 2013 - there is virtually no tourism up and down the Nile - it was a billion dollar industry and the people are starving ....

He overthrew an Islamist party that suspended the constitution and carried out a raft of Islamist policies they, specifically, promised not to introduce pre-election. Would you rather have the murderous scum from 'the brotherhood of man' (a party set up by the 'actual' Nazis) running such an important country or this man;
Muslim Brotherhood / brethren
