Cameron is the only one with something to lose from these debates. For everyone else, it is an great opportunity. For the Prime Minister it is a whole area of grief, potential gaffes and traps. The 2010 debates were first the nails in the coffin for Brown. Cameron does not want to be in his shoes this time.

It's obvious mikey, explained by me and others on here and demonstrated by Gordon Brown in 2010. The sitting PM has nothing to gain and everything to lose. He'll be ok in the mass bun fight with the also rans but will have nothing to gain from a 3 way or 2 way.Personally I would be happy with ED v Dave, full stop. The usual "running scared" *** flies but in reality Cameron is playing the game correctly for him.
