I love that idea.
Funnily enough, in this case, there was a good attempt at that.
On three of Mignini's cases, when he has had trouble linking a defendant to a particular place, a local tramp and heroin addict (Mignini's "star witness") has suddenly remembered seeing the defendant in just that place.
Well, in this case, Amanda and Raffaele had no association at all with Rudy Guede. Why would they be having a "sex game" together??
For Mignini's "sex game gone wrong" theory to hold water, Mignini's needed to create some sort of association with Rudy Guede.
Step forward, Mignini's usual "star witness".
After a visit from Mignini, the tramp suddenly remembered that he HAD seen Amanda and Raffaele with Guede. He gave evidence that he had seen them in the square together. He remembered it very clearly, because they were with a group of other students getting on and off buses in the square.
Unfortunately, the Defence called a witness from the bus company, who confirmed that, on the day that Mignini's "star witness" had seen amanda, Raffaele and Rudy Guede with the students getting on and off buses, it was a public holiday, and no buses had been running.
Lesson for Mignini ...
If you are trying to wrongly convict innocent people by using a fake "witness", you should do your homework, and make sure that the story you ask your "witness" to tell doesn't have a major flaw.
By the time of the Appeal, the heroine addicted tramp, Mignini's "star witness", was in prison.

If you scroll down to Feb 18 2014 it says // A recording of Knox being interrogated in Italian prison is released for the first time. \\
Is this the recording you say never happened or a different incident?

That's interesting, LB
I wonder what the recording is?
Amanda was interrogated for several days. It was only on one day, 6 November 2007, that the prosecution "claimed" that the recorder had not been switched on.
Of course, everybody knew that that was not true. Every interrogation was recorded. The prosecution just didn't want to produce the tape. The most likely explanation was that the prosecution would have destroyed the tape from that day, so that no one could later undermine their claim that there was no tape.

On the news bulletin last night, she came outside her home with family in tow, giving the usual speech how grateful she was for support blah blah blah. Then her voice broke down as if she was crying, but her eyes were dryer than the desert. Fake Fake Fake.
She always reminds me of one of those bully girls you see in American films, who dates the High School jock, is popular because others are scared of her, and nobody dare say anything derogatory to her for fear of punishment.

Well done joggerjayne for your detailed posts. It's a pity to see in this thread the usual litany of people proclaiming Knox's guilt based on having decided they don't like the look of her and that they "feel she has something to hide", or that her doing cartwheels is somehow a clinching damnation. I really hope none of those people ever serve on a jury. It's also a shame that the thread title uses that stupid name that diminishes a murder case just a little bit more each time it's used. The behaviour of some of the media and public throughout this whole saga has been shameful.
$4mln compo will ease her conscience of cartwheeling at her 'friends' murder trial.
