Spot on, Naomi. You'd be amazed at the number of staunch Labour voters who are in favour of capital punishment.
Naomi,

Labour are pro-EU. If they win the election there will not be a referendum.

There will be no debate on a referendum for 5 years.

Gromit, I know.

It seems obvious why Labour won't give the British people the choice to stay or come out of Europe.

They are frightened that the British people might vote to come out, on the other hand if Labour get in, and we stay in Europe it will give them another 5 years to increase yet further on their voting stock.
If their policy is to stay in, why would they have a referendum on it?

The Conservatives are split on Europe so it makes sense to let the publuc make up their mind for them.

Perhaps to give their voting public a chance to vote for what they consider is best for them?
Gromit, it's not fair to say the Conservatives are split on Europe. They don’t want ‘out’ – they want reform. Nevertheless they recognise that a good many people in this country do want ‘out’, and quite rightly, they are willing to allow the electorate to have its say. This from their website:

//Only the Conservatives have a plan to deliver real change in Europe
So if you want:

1 To keep the cost of Europe down
2 To make Europe work for British business
3 To keep the Pound and Britain out of the Euro
4 Our country to keep control of its own borders
5 To keep Britain out of Eurozone bailouts
6 To take back control of criminal justice
7 An in-out referendum on whether to stay in the EU

Vote Conservative.//

I think that's clear enough.
