If he's considered unfit to stand trial why don't they say so?

Whoever were the DPPs during those years should be asked why no prosecution went ahead.

Several points I would like to raise:

Could those at the CPS be compelled to give evidence regarding who was putting blocks on investigations in the previous occasions regarding his conduct. A case in point that Leicester Police force were warned not to search Jenner's home or interview him.

Could Jenner be stripped of his peerage and if not the law be changed so that peers are stripped of their titles for serious crimes (yes I know this is token comfort for the victims but why should he be revered). He lied to the Lords when he issued his denial to the house.

I think if Leon Britten was alive the same "not in the interest' spiel would have applied as he was suffering from cancer. And any older perpetrator would use the same get out on the grounds of ill health etc etc.

Another sham as the establishments close ranks again....

I think (hope, maybe) it will, at least, encourage more victims to come forward sooner and not let the clock tick.

assisstant chief constables should perhaps have been more concerned when the matter was first raised; it's a bit late now. He seems to have been checked out by four different doctors; if he were put on trial he wouldn't be able to defend himself, which would bring the justice system into disrepute. The practice of investigation is already deeply in disrepute, however.
