I know we have discussed his ad nauseum here on AB before, but if everybody else will be present tonight, but not Cameron, or Cleggie, what is the point ?
What value is there in a Debate if one of the only two people that can win in three weeks time is left out ?
It's fairly obvious what Cameron is up to. After the debate he will use the predominantly Right-wing mass media to refute any anti-Tory claims made on the programme without fear of any contradiction (which would have happened if he had been present in the debate). He gets the last word. Job done.
Although Cameron isn't in attendance, tory spin doctors have been granted permission by the BBC to lobby journalists as they report on the five-way debate. For tory spin doctors that could include cabinet ministers...very odd.
Remind me again why Clegg isn't there?
As I've said before I can't really understand the criticism. Especially the "it's just like the US" one, as actually with all these parties it isn't really like the US at all :-)
What is wrong with having party leaders debate their policies on TV during an election? It's a pity Cameron and Clegg are not there but I believe it might be their loss.
I completely agree with TTT on this. Ed Milliband should have decided not to attend as well.
What is the point of debating with the tertiary parties? (especially the Greens - having read their manifesto 'highlights' I'm convinced their leader might actually be a little bit insane).
This discussion has just been described on the television news as a ‘debate between the opposition parties’, or words to that effect. Having been in government for the past several years perhaps that’s why Cameron and Clegg aren’t attending.

A gift he is seizing with both hands it would seem. That scraping noise you hear is Ed Miliband wiping the floor with Farage. And the Sturgeon is going a good job too. Savaged by a fish: poor Nigel
It was a good debate indeed. I continue to be amazed at how people seem so taken with Nicola Sturgeon. She's ok but i am more impressed by the PC lady.
Ed has really blossomed during the campaign. You can see now why Tory High Command ran a mile ...
I have like a lot out there their own views, N.F was right in what he came out with regards Holiday Immigrants getting First Aid / Hospital Treatment F.O.C. I think they should be charged for their care if Ill within the Uk, was he right?
