Svejk....I'd be a crap mod.
I used to know a couple - English, not Scots - who were seduced by the summer lifestyle in that area, and they bought a small house there, but the winters weren't very nice, which came as a surprise to them. They then moved to live in the Edinburgh area.

Getting worse now...South of Huntly..Blin drift....
I was at Blair Drummond safari park the day near Stiling, had heavy downpours of hail mixed with sunshine all day, cold but nice. North Perth has snow on the hills tho
I remember deep snow in England after Easter, about 1980
I had to wear a sun hat today.
Hope you get home safely, icecream. I can back Hopkirk on the snow after Easter, in Yorkshire at least, but it wasn't huge. In fact I can remember both sunbathing and clearing snow in the Easter holidays!

Here it is sunny/cloudy but with a viciously cold wind.

Still snowing heavily up here in N_E Scotland.Could be a few roads closed tomorrow.
As I have said on another thread, when Sturgeon gets her way it will be perpetual springtime for Scotland (but winter for England).

Ha-ha,Jackdaw,if we Nikki gets her way it will be a perpetual winter for Scotland....and unfortunately I aint joking...
No Captain, I remember struggling to get back to college in snow after the Easter holidays which would have been about 1980. What's more I was further south than that.

There were very heavy snowfalls in the north of England during April in 1979. I remember it well.
Sorry, how again is this news? Yesterday I was berated and verbally mobbed by a cloud of fists and feet you see on cartoons by your chums. Oh and as your chum retrocop said to me /Broseph
Just click on news.Follow down all the OP titles in that section. You don't have to open them all.You will note that they,98%, have a news link assigned to them.
That is the custom. You are not reading what is advised are you.
This OP is not connected to a News story. It is your thought and you have asked for others opinions.OK.That should be on chatterbank.
I don't run the site but there are protocols to be adhered to or do you not accept that?/

And your friend Baldric said /From the News Page Header

///It is common practice to offer a link to the news article you would like to discuss.///

Amazing that they haven't picked up on this thread, that the weather in a small village is news but immigration questions aren't?

So Icey,Do you have a news link so we can follow this newsworthy nugget of a gem of a front page tabloid mega story?

Wonder where Boo is..Nah,I aint falling for your first-form trolling boyo.....
I am no Labour supporter, but I have to say that the benevolent pose of Clement Attlee is a welcome change from the aggressive stance of Nye Bevan.
/Wonder where Boo is..Nah,I aint falling for your first-form trolling boyo...../

I'm merely asking you how and why this is in news and why aren't you adhering to the rules of this site but maybe it's not my place to ask so please do go on without my interference.
I've been here 7 years and I still wouldn't dare post about the weather in news - unless I wanted to be hit by a lot of snowballs

///And your friend Baldric said///

Now just hold on, nothing against Ice, but he's been here about ½ hour in his present persona, we've never communicated directly, nor been introduced, so less of the friend!
