I can't believe Theresa May is back as home secretary it is absolutely ridiculous the mistakes she made the last time if she was in the private sector she would be long gone.

Home Secretary is normally a disastrous position for a politician.

Most don't last long there at all.

The fact she has held it so long means she is doing something right.

Home Office is meant to be the graveyard of reputations - look at Charles Clarke, a year apparently and Jack Straw - " oops I did law but not International Law...."

Oh dear dear since we know that child abuse by women IS an issue, this means that it is being ignored

Plenty of people in politics make mistakes - and in the private sector. Having worked in both the public and private sector I don't think it's anything to do with being male or female, just human nature. Of course if you're in politics then your every move is reported on. Raise your hand if you're perfect!

I like Theresa May, maybe not her dress sense, but she has courage of her convictions, and left to her (now unshackled by the Lib Dems) she may get somewhere on the Immigration problem.
