Another one of these rulings

This is a bit odd though
//His party colleague David McIlveen tweeted: "Utterly sickened that a Christian owned business has been hauled over the coals for refusing to promote something that is not legal in NI."//

///Same-sex marriage was legalised in England, Wales and Scotland in 2014, BUT REMAINS ILLEGAL in Northern Ireland where it is recognised as a civil partnership.///
So, they've been fined for refusing to promote something that is still illegal where they are based, ridiculous imo.

Do some people have lives that are waaaay too easy?
If someone not baking your cake causes you so much "stress" that you have to go to Court, then you rally done have enough to worry about.
Can you imagine someone like that applying for a job?
"How are you at dealing with stressful situations"
"I even suffer from "stress" if a baker won't bake my cake"
People like that could never do a job with any responsibility.

Retro, you have lost the principle of discrimination legislation.
If you're born a certain way - e.g. black, female, or gay - then people aren't allowed to hold that against you.
If you choose a certain way - e.g. terrorist, or hunt sab - then people are allowed to hold that against you.
The borderline case is religion. This sometimes falls into the "born that way" category, even though logically it shouldn't, and sometimes into the "chose that way" category. In this case, it's good to see "born that way" gay trumping "chose that way" religion.

Retrochic - //Sorry I did not realise there was a Law against refusing to bake a certain type of cake. //
The issue is not with the cake, it is with the baker's refusal to decorate it - said refusal fell foul of anti-discrimination legislation, and a case was the result.
It's easy to minimise, or scoff, but people's rights enshrined in law are to be defended.
Next time, it may be you who is discriminated against - perhaps you would be quite so dismissive then.

Is this really what anti-discrimination laws are for?
It would be utterly abhorrent to discriminate against somebody for a job because of their sexuality, colour or disability....but really, a refusal to bake a cake?
Perhaps I'm missing the point, but in my view the Act should be applied to 'proper' discrimination......whereas I think this comes under the heading of just being a bit silly (to be clear, both parties have been silly).
