//a bit morally "dicey" but so are many of us;-) // It too much to expect our politicians not to be "morally dicey). Wouldn't you think they'd have learned to be above this after the Expenses scandal?

I cant find any mention of this on AB. Have I missed it or have we become so inured to this kind of thing that it no longer 'raises an eyebrow'.
(I'm well aware he's far from alone in 'this'.)
Not the best start then.

Doesn't say much for the other candidates. He's still odds on favourite.
Can't see what's wrong.......it's within the rules, a bit morally "dicey" but so are many of us;-)

If it was offered, I would do the same as the Labour Leader aspirant.

I'm not sure whether most people are honest, sqad, or just don't get the opportunities to be a 'bit dicey'.

It too much to expect our politicians not to be "morally dicey). Wouldn't you think they'd have learned to be above this after the Expenses scandal?
You’d think politicians – especially those with high aspirations – would have learnt by now that taking the opportunity to be a bit dicey doesn’t really go down too well with the electorate.

(What is it with Labour? He looks as geeky as Ed Miliband! As favourite to win, not one to inspire confidence, I'd have thought - but there you are).
\\ There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by the shadow health secretary, but Sir Alistair Graham, the former chairman of the committee on standards in public life, told the Sunday Times the politician’s arrangements were “wrong” and showed a “lack of judgement”.//
I have to assume then, with my limited intelligence, that wrongdoing and "wrong" doesn't mean the same thing. I would never have succeeded in politics.
Obviously taking a lesson from arch-Tory, Bill Cash, who was only cleared on appeal of being 'naughty'. Click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Cash and scroll down to Expenses Claims for a near-identical story.
And yes, I know there were many more on both sides of the House.
Yes, there are many more on both sides of the house and that’s exactly why he should have been cautious. This says little for his judgement.
One assumes that it is still officially OK to do this kind of thing, enabling MPs to go on saying - with 'accuracy' of a sort - "I did no wrong!"
Yes, I think it is still ok - but it leaves a bad taste and after all the kerfuffle over recent years he should have been aware of that.
Well done Sqad !
Mikey, if this were a Conservative MP would you be saying the same? Be truthful now. ;o)
Of course he would not Naomi, and no doubt even more vocal if it was the UKIP.

Labour can do no wrong in the eyes of their blinkered supporters.
looks like a possible nail in his coffin
@mikey who seems to be giving the thumbs up to squads post

"Can't see what's wrong.......it's within the rules, a bit morally "dicey" but so are many of us;-) "

so you also have no problem with organisations like amazon et al and their legal within the rules but "morally dicey" tax arrangements !?
