Khandro, do you know Cannock Chase ?. I do, there are lot of extremely remote areas there. Plus how do you know that the people involved aren't somewhere local to Cannock Chase.

She hasn't said it all happened on the Chase itself, in open air. Cannock Chase covers a wide area and includes several towns.

Do we know where her parents or carers were while this was going on? I haven't read or heard of any mention of them.

I think we will have to see how the story develops.

When anyone says "on Cannock Chase" that's what they mean ^ ( I was by the way, a lecturer at Wolverhampton Polytechnic for several years)

In my, ever so 'umble, opinion there is insufficient detail in the press reports to decide whether this is fact or fiction.
However I can't get my head around the idea of uniformed Police standing around whilst this kind of offence is perpetrated, especially if filming is taking place.

In a Sky News interview, I think the woman was asked how she knew they were police officers. She said because she knew them from church.

Esther Baker alleges officers - who were often in uniform - sometimes joined in the abuse which was part-led by a famous politician.

One of the officers I knew from church. There were a few occasions where they would be in uniform and I learnt that when they were in uniform it was going to be a rough night.

Is it any wonder that more victims of sexual abuse don't come forward, when their claims are rubbished like this ?

Nothing that this lady has said causes me to disbelieve her. The more information that comes comes out about this sort of crime, the more I am led to the conclusion that a massive cover-up has been going on.

I understand that the name of the prominent politician has been passed to the Police, so lets wait until the Police have concluded their investigations.

Naomi...people would have said the same thing about the victims of Savile, Smith, Harris, et al.

But now that we know that the unbelievable can happen, we should treat all victims that come forward with serious allegations, with respect, which, to be fair, the Police have already said that they are going to do.

Mikey, we can treat people with respect, but that doesn’t mean we have to accept without question what in this case amounts to some pretty incredible claims as gospel. Doubting is allowed.
