that's probably not true - but it probably is true that you have no issue with those "laws" that do impact on you.
for instance, a lot of producers of meat sell only halal, because it makes sense not to need two different production line; most non-muslims have no issue with that, but the reverse would not be so, QED. you may not have an issue with eating halal food, but there are plenty that do.

mushroom, I do not buy halal meat (no NZ lamb for me) nor knowingly eat it anywhere. When I go to Muslim friends homes or restaurants for meals I have vegetarian or seafood options.
I know exactly where the meat and poultry I buy from my butchers comes from and where it is slaughtered. It is no inconvenience because the quality of the meat is first class.

The fact that something doesn't impact on one's own life is not really an argument for ignoring it, is it?
And we all know that women within that religion can't ignore the ban.
If your family are Hasidic Jews, and so is your husband, and all of your friends, and probably the people whom you work for ...
... no woman can really say, I don't care what you lot say, I'm going to take driving lessons. At the local driving school. Which is probably run by Jews.
It's not that easy.

Don't you think it is for the Hasidic Jewish women to address? Are there any objections from them about this issue? Is there any evidence that the women take any notice of letters like this?
What about the husbands of the women that do drive? They must be aware that their wives drive - they can object to the driving 'ban' too.

HC...yes, probably...that is why I used to term World religions
Why can't women stand up for themselves ? My Mother was a Catholic but practised birth control all the same. I was present when she told our local Parish Priest to *** off and mind his own business, when he suggested that it wasn't a very Catholic thing to do ! ....why can't these Hasidic women do the same to their Rabbis ?
Do you know these Hasidic women shave off all the hair on their heads and then go out and buy a wig ? Does that make sense to anyone ? What woman would willing do that if they didn't have a man standing over them, ordering them to do it ?
A day never dawns when I don't wake up and thank God that I am an Atheist !
