This Guardian article includes this paragraph:
"At one point she mentions a 16-year-old boy who was regularly fed by his mother and cites examples of even older children. She says breastfeeding adolescents isn't a practice she would dismiss out of hand":

Maybe Broseph, above, has a valid point?

If a mother is still breastfeeding a 5 year old child, in my opinion it says more about about the adult than the child. I would go as far as to say it is a form of child abuse. Quite what this daft women thought she was doing by running to the press with her story in the first place, I just can't imagine.
What a ridiculous, embarrassing, delusional woman.
"I believe children reach their full potential through breast feeding" ?
The young of any species reach their full potential when their parents successfully teach them to live as adults of the species. In every land based species, two fundamentals of that process are:
1. to have the mobility of an adult, and
2. to consume the diet of an adult.
The first thing parents teach their young in nature, one they can walk or fly?
How to hunt or forage for food.
We should not let this woman distract anyone with nonsense talk about reaching full potential, or becoming more intelligent.
She is a disgrace and an embarrassment. She is an attention seeker of the worst possible kind.
