I think it's good, in some cases, to exercise positive discrimination and include the disabled in the mainstream workforce. Bet they don't employ someone with a stutter though.

That advert's quite clever, it asks whether you have a disability but doesn't state that you need to be disabled in order to apply for the job- it's implied rather than downright saying it.

It's an ad for a training course not a job, so there is no need for anyone, including the DM, to get their knickers in a twist over it.

If anyone had bothered to read the reprint of the ad, they would have noticed that the last sentence of the Job Introduction bit says "You will be eligible to apply for future vacancies in the team."

It is just the BBC running a training course in the hope of spotting some talent for the future, something which other companies probably do as well (internships anyone ?).

This is a public company funded in part by a levy on users. I think its absolutely right that some of that money should go to offering a hand up to people who might benefit from it. Sky do internships for young people and nobody calls it ageist.
