More kowtowing to Muslims it would seem, but apart from that would it also be in order to put on a male-only event?

Facilities are being provided for certain groups to encourage them in there. Non muslims are not excluded. It`s not a big deal. Personally, I can`t think of anything worse than an evening populated by a load of women but each to their own.
I call on the ladies of Stoke -on-Trent to get together & organise a large group to attend this event & then when inside the building to ALL put on bikini costumes to show that it is time to put an end to the showing of preferential treatment to certain religious practices in this country. If these people want to freely practice their beliefs then let them do it in Dubai or any other Muslim state, & for goodness sake let us get back to our own British way of life.

That makes no difference at all, how would it be if for a specific two hours in the year, that no Muslims, no blacks, no gays were allowed.

I don't have a problem with this, many women are put off from swimming in public because they have body issues especially where men are present.
Rather than boycott the event I would urge any woman to attend, regardless of the colour of their skin or their religious beliefs.
My sister has not swam in public since having a double mastectomy even though there are some lovely costumes she could wear. I have told her about this event and she is planning to go with friends, so she can test a costume out in use.
The leisure club I used to be a member of had regular nude sessions, male only, female only and mixed. If you weren't prepared to swim naked you couldn't use the pool or go in the pool area. Also there were parent and baby only sessions, lane swim sessions for serious swimmers, splash sessions for families and lifeguard training sessions. The timetable was clear and nobody complained.
