As long as you didn't stand up and salute, jordy. Then I'd start worrying.
Music and lyrics are often very evocative and stir memories, I don't think it is about age or decrepitude.
Glad you enjoyed the music Jordyboy9 we all need a little something to brighten our day, happy listening.
Yes, i support the post of Mamy......very evocative and stirring.

Many songs remind me of times with different women( girl friends):

Someone else's baby...Adam Faith.
Your'e my World.....Cila Black.
Walkin Back to Happiness.....Helen Shapiro

You've got the picture.

Sound track of the Dambusters, 633 sqadron........et al.

I'm probably a bit younger than you Jordy...so for me its the Beatles I Wanna Hold Your Hand, and Rod Stewarts Maggie May...both evocative of time and place for me.
I find one does get more emotional about things as one ages. I put it down to a lack of testosterone causing mental illness.

Dame Vera Lynn is a bit of a heroin round these parts, as she only lives in Ditchling just outside of Brighton, East Sussex, and attends loads of events and functions in the area, so her songs of the war era are fondly remembered for being special to those of us from good old blighty.:-)
I thought she was dead !!!
Nope, anne......she's 98 and still looking good for it. :-)
